Block E:
Build a scene using the dialogue you developed with your partner today and the parameters I set for you for the context. Layer the beats and the tags, and have fun!
Block F:
Review the personal narrative models we looked at today. Examine the one you like the best, and try to decipher the elements of voice and style that work to make an impression on you. Be specific. Look at the language, the structure, the voice. Next, look at the essay that you liked the least. What about this essay was problematic for you? We will discuss your findings tomorrow to help you prepare to revise your own essay.
Be sure to work on finishing Room for Monday. You will have an entry ticket due on Monday as well.
Block G:
Using your mind map and the new material on "The Hero's Journey," develop a working thesis and an outline of an essay you plan to write. Bring it to our next class for a discussion before you begin the writing process.
