1. Work on your Frankenstein/Juno essays due at the start of class on Monday.
Block E:
1. Watch this clip from the beginning of the 2000 A&E production of The Great Gatsby starring Paul Rudd. Consider how the film starts, and how that differs from the film we just finished. Which is more true to the novel?
2. Write one additional paragraph (3) to your film response that we started in class on Friday. Here are the prompts:
Paragraph One: Your reaction, observations about similarities
between the film (dir. Baz Luhrmann) and book.
Paragraph
Two: Differences between film and book (and purpose for the
change).
Paragraph
Three: Differences between the film adaptations (The Baz Lurhmann
version and the segment from the A&E version). Which seems more
true to the novel and why you feel the way you do?
Block G:
1. Write your own version of "The Things I Carry." Type it in a Google document and print it before you arrive to class on Tuesday.
