- Work on the portfolio assignment that I distributed in class today. Remember, you have 5 reflections to write and 3 artifacts to include. We will have the mobile lab in class on Monday to work, so be sure to bring your materials so that you can be productive.
- Read your independent reading book.
Block F:
- Today we took a quiz on Chapters 21 and 22. Many of you were behind in the reading and therefore could not take the quiz. This weekend, catch up, annotate, and be ready to write about and discuss Chapters 23 and 24 on Monday. If you were absent on Friday, be prepared to take the quiz you missed in class today at the start of class on Monday.
- Read your independent reading book.
Block A:
- Continue to work on assembling your final portfolio and independent project due on January 21st.
Block B:
- Read Chapters 13 and 14 for Tuesday. Use a note taking strategy that works for you for each chapter that you read. Remember, we discussed a variety of methods you can try:
- Cornell Notes
- Sticky Notes
- Double-sided journal entry
- Mind-map (you may want to take notes on a variety of topics)
- memory
- tough questions
- repetition/patterns
- identity/character development
- a-ha moments
- Bring your notes to class, as you will be able to use them to write a response.
GO PATS!!
