Hey all you readers out there! Do you have a book that you have read recently that you would like to recommend to your friends? Take a minute and post a comment here if you have a great book to share!
I am reading Laura Hillenbrand's book titled Unbroken. It is an unbelievable (and true!) story about a soldier in WW2 who is shot down in the Pacific Ocean and he lives to tell the terrible tale of his survival.
Katie Benson: Currently I am reading "The Empress of India" by Michael Kurland. I chose it because it is from the perspective of Professor Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' archenemy. The book is overall pretty good, though there are times where I drift off. There are two perspectives to follow, and it can get a little confusing if you don't read it regularly and forget the plot line. But it's held my attention enough that I want to read it to the end. The book that I would absolutely recommend is "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein. It's an incredible book and very well written. I found it very inspiring and fun to read.
I just finished the book "Lucky Fools" by Coert Voorhees. it was a good book about a couple of high-school students who go to a prep school and try to get into Stanford. i would recommend it.
The Time Traveler's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger, I saw the movie and I hope its the same as the book. It's about this doctor who sends his down syndrome child off when she's born.
I just finished reading "Lucky Fools" by Coert Voorhees. It was a good book overall about a student who goings to a high school prep school and his struggles with dealing with everyday pressure. I would recommend it
A book I recommend would be Paper Towns by John Green for anyone who enjoyed his book Looking or Alaska. It has the same mystery feel, about a girl who goes missing, and I enjoyed it.
Well right now I am reading Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of The Clones. This is the second book that I have read out of the saga. It is a really good saga due to the sci-fi action.
I am reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. It's the same idea as the movie but has a lot of different aspects. It is about a girl who was born with the purpose of keeping her sister, who has leukemia, alive. She struggles with her decision to sue her parents for the right to her own body, knowing her sister won't survive.
Like Alicia, I was going to recommend Paper Towns, but instead I'll recommend An Abundance of Katherines, which is another John Green book. I really enjoy his style of writing and I think many others will like it aswell. This book follows a young genuis who takes a roadtrip in search of himself and a "eurika" moment.
I am currently reading I am a Messenger by Markus Zusak. It is a good book so far. I has a lot of twists and turns. I would recommend my book to young adult readers.

The book House of the Scorpion is a book I strongly recommend. It is written by Nancy Farmer and really sucks you in.

ReplyDeleteA book that I would recommend would be Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. He is the father of distopian literature, and it is really a phenominal story
