Block B:
Write sentences for your new vocabulary words and start studying!

Block C:
Carefully read and annotate Foster's article titled "A Whole Heap of Ashes" for Tuesday. You will be writing an essay about Foster's argument, so be sure to read closely.
Also, study your new vocabulary words.

Block E:
1. Using Sedaris's "Turbulence" as a model, write a story about a situation(real or imagined) which you wish to revise/re-do. Start, like Sedaris, at the end, and work your way back to the start in your retelling.
2. Use THIS site to find a book that you'd like to read as a book club book for class.

Today we watched John Green's 2-part Crash Course on The Great Gatsby. Your job tonight is to finish watching Part 2, and to take careful notes on the argument that Green presents to his question: Is Gatsby great? Look for the claim, evidence, and reasons he presents, and be ready to share your understanding when we return to class on Thursday.
