Block C:
Complete your vignette project. You should have 3 vignettes, printed and ready for review by Tuesday. We will do some revision later this week.

Block D:
Today you received our first novel titled The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. Tonight, flip through it and look it over. We'll start it together in class tomorrow.

Block F:
Read Chapter 1 in True Diary for Wednesday.

Block F:
Read your independent reading book.

Block A and B:

1. Complete your self-portrait.

2. Read True Diary to page 98.

3. Complete the research required on handout in order to prepare for our reading of Alexie's poem "Reservation Mathematics" when we return to class on Tuesday.

Block A and B:
Finish your letter from Rowdy to Arnold tonight if you didn't finish it in class today.
Read up to page 76 in True Diary and add any new observations or questions to your 3-2-1 sheet as you read.

Block C:

• Work on your vignette project due on Tuesday of next week. Follow the guidelines on the handout I gave you if you need help.
• Finish reading Part 1 in Room for our first book club meeting on Monday. 

Block D:

• Develop ONE good question that you have after watching the documentary Children of the Plains. Bring your question to our next class meeting, along with the notes that you took. 

• Read your independent reading book and review your notes from the documentary we watched today. If you were out, you can watch it HERE

Block A and B:
