Write your first piece for your "Why Write" project. Take an idea from your "Territories of Writing" list if you'd like!

Begin to prepare for your project. Reread your story and begin planning your response so you'll be ready for group work later in the week.

2. This week, we'll focus on giving birth to a magical new character, similar to the one we read about today in the novel Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance. You will focus on a starting point this week--what does it take to BEGIN a story effectively?
Block B:
Tonight, you should add on to your previous homework assignment by writing for 10-15 minutes about REVENGE!
Block C:
Choose 2-3 poems from Counting Descent to inspire your own creative writing tomorrow.
Block E:
Finish reading "On the Rainy River" and complete the reading organizer for our next class. There will be a reading quiz on the story when we meet next.
