Block B:
Study your new vocabulary words!

Block C:
Read your independent reading book

Block E: 
Get your materials for class and bring them with you on Monday! You need: a new composition book, a glue stick, an independent reading book, and your signed syllabus form.

Block F:
1. Read and annotate the first chapter of The Interestings.
2. Read and annotate the two film reviews for The Man in the Moon and then write your one-pager for class on Monday.
3. Keep reading your book club book for next Friday's meeting.

Creative Writing Block E:
Get your supplies for class, ask your parents/guardians to complete the contact form, and write a GOLDEN sentence based on our discussion this morning.

Block F:
Prepare for book club meetings tomorrow.
Read and annotate the film reviews for The Man in the Moon and write a one-pager for Monday.

Block G:
Read and annotate the film reviews for The Man in the Moon

Block B: 
We will finish your mind maps up tomorrow in class while we conference about your course selection. Come prepared to finish your map and get ready for your presentation.

1. Review the selection of stories we've read in this unit and make some choices about what you would like to use in your mind map. Make preparations so that you are ready to begin on Tuesday. You will have the full block to work.

Block C:
Review your materials for the exam next week. Bring everything with you to class on Tuesday for our review session.

Read and annotate "Death by Landscape" by Margaret Atwood

1. Finish your essay for tomorrow. Print it out before you arrive to class to submit.
2. Finish reading, annotating, and responding to "Death by Landscape."

Block B:
Today you met with Mrs. Murphy to learn about the college admission process. When we return to class on Thursday,I will ask you to respond to the interview with Tim O'Brien. Please watch the remainder of it here before you arrive to class on Thursday so that you are ready to respond (we were at the 33:00 minute mark). Bring you exit ticket back with you to class.

Monday 1/4/16: Homework

Block G:
1. Continue working on your essay due on Wednesday.
2. Read up to the page break on page 106 in the short story "Death by Landscape" for tomorrow.
3. Study your vocabulary words for Friday's quiz.


Block B: 
Today we watched the first 33 minutes of an interview with Tim O'Brien and Nate Fick. In the event that you were not in class today, please watch the video below, and take careful notes of what you hear. I will collect your notes for class credit when you return.
Tomorrow we have a guidance presentation during class time. We will finish the interview during our next class meeting. In the meantime, study for your vocabulary quiz on words 41-45 on Friday.


Block C:
Finish reading "The Ghost Soldiers" for class on Thursday. We have a guidance presentation in class on Wednesday. Also, study for Friday's vocabulary quiz.
