FRIDAY 1/30/15: Homework

Go Patriots!

Block G:
Today we started our study of the first episode of Serial. If you were not in class today, take a listen to the first 10 minutes of this podcast.

For homework, this weekend,  please be sure to write out your reading plan for second semester. Here's what I would like you to consider:
1. What have you accomplished thus far?
2. How is it going?
3. What do you hope to read in the new semester? List titles and authors.

Also, I've attached a picture of this week's vocabulary words below. This week you will be responsible for 10 words--we are behind schedule due to the exams and the snow and the guidance presentations. But, you will have very little outside homework next week so you will have LOTS of time to learn them!

Block B:
1. Continue to work on revising your mid-term essay, using the checklist to help you. Your final draft will be due next week, so plan your time accordingly.
2. Study your new vocabulary words for next week's quiz. There are 10 words this week!

Block C:
1. Write a response using the questions on the "Somebody's Lying" sheet I gave you in class today. Remember, you are crafting a well-written response on the back--do NOT merely answer the questions on the FRONT! If you need to revisit the podcast, you can find it here.http://serialpodcast.org/

2. Study vocabulary! This week you will be responsible for 10 words--we are behind schedule due to the exams and the snow and the guidance presentations. But, you will have very little outside homework next week so you will have LOTS of time to learn them!
